The Water Management School is intended to be an institution aimed at strengthening the capacities of workers in the sector, by providing training and assistance and contributing to the development of high-level administrative personnel in the field of water resource management.
The Water Management School is a permanent structure with a degree of scientific authority in the sector. It is intended to promote the Italian activities of international cooperation and to be a platform of dialogue and exchange of experiences.
The Water Management School originates from a collaboration between Link Campus University, SudgestAid and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, funder of this project.
The main beneficiaries are managers and decision-makers of the water and environmental sectors in several foreign countries.
The objectives of the Water Management School are:
– To provide specific competences with regard to guidelines as well as planning, government, control and management of water resources;
– To find common policies in the government of territories, water and environment, by promoting good practices and useful models of organisation which are sustainable and of public interest;
– To strengthen technical capacities, necessary to manage and plan water and environmental resources;
– To compare and improve models of management strenghtening the culture of maintenance;
– To promote the exchange of experiences and know- how at international level;
– To help overcome challenges and conflicts at civil, local and institutional level.
